Belt Up Baby is a child restraint device for children between about 9 months and three years who ride a bus or taxi in the back seat of a parent's lap. Belt Up Baby is attached to the parent and the parent's seat belt. The child is then fastened with a three-point belt sitting in the parent's lap. Belt Up Baby may only be used where a car seat is not available and in vehicles where a car seat is not mandatory by law. The product is not a replacement for a car seat but is only intended to be used when no car seat is available, for example in a taxi or bus on a trip abroad.

Belt Up Baby is developed by two British parents of children, who, like many other parents of children, have involuntarily sat in a taxi abroad with their child in their lap without a seat belt. The product they invented was called the Belt Up Baby and crash tests have shown that survival increases with a Belt Up Baby compared to the child sitting in the parent's lap without a seat belt.

Important to know that:
• Belt Up Baby does not replace a car booster seat
• May only be used in vehicles where a child car seat is not required by law
• Belt Up Baby should not be used facing backwards and not in the front seat of the car.
• Belt Up Baby should only be used in combination with a 3-point seat belt (not a waist belt).
